Welcome!

We would like to extend our warmest greetings to you and your family, and introduce ourselves. We are Saint Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church, a humble parish within the ancient Christian tradition. We are within the Diocese of Saint Thomas, of the The Old Catholic Church of North America; which serves as the Province of the Americas for The Old Catholic Church (TOCC)

Orthodox Old Catholics uphold the sacred traditions and teachings of the early church, faithfully handed down by the ancient fathers of the Christian faith. At Saint Barnabas, we stand within this tradition and would like to invite you and your family to experience the warmth of our parish, the love of Jesus Christ, and to worship Our Heavenly Father with us.

At Saint Barnabas, we have an inviting heart for Catholics who are no longer attending Mass. We understand the feelings of separation, marginalization, or uneasiness that many Catholics have experienced in other places. Yet in our parish, you can still experience a warm and inviting community. In today’s chaotic world, we invite you to rediscover the fullness of the Gospel message and its saving grace through Christ Jesus, our Lord. Come and find healing and peace in Him.

Saint Barnabas stands as a beacon of faith, firmly rooted in the teachings of the Apostles, the seven Ecumenical Councils, and the Orthodox tradition of the Early Church. We hold steadfast to the belief that the fullness of our faith is found in the sacraments that Jesus Christ Himself initiated, offering us a direct and transformative encounter with His divine presence. We celebrate a personal relationship with Christ, one that is nourished through the grace He offers in the sacraments.

We believe that through the sacraments—especially the Eucharist and Reconciliation—Jesus continues to pour His love, mercy, and forgiveness upon us. The Eucharist, the body and blood of Christ, is the source and summit of our faith. It is in this sacred meal that we encounter Jesus in the most intimate and powerful way, receiving His grace to sustain us through life's challenges. Similarly, through the sacrament of Reconciliation, we experience the mercy of God, who forgives our sins and invites us to begin anew.

Our worship and prayers reflect the deep history of the Church, and we are committed to preserving this tradition while fostering a vibrant, welcoming community. Come and experience the difference.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

John 17: 20-21

“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.”

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
